Increase understanding of OI and raise much-needed funds
Join the hundreds of volunteers who make the Bone China Tea a success each year! Bone China Tea is a phantom tea party. Instead of getting all dressed up, hiring a babysitter, and buying gas, your friends and family members get to stay at home, enjoy a cup of their favorite tea, and make a donation in honor of their friend or family member who has OI.
Bone China Tea invitations may be sent at any time of the year. There are two options for getting involved: You can participate either by using the traditional printed invitations, complete with a special tea bag, or by sending e-mail invitations from your personal Bone China Tea web page.
During 2007, volunteer 'hosts' raised more than $42,000 to help find the answers to the more than 6,000 questions the Foundation receives each year.
Friends, family and co-workers often want to help someone with OI, but they don't know how. This is an easy way for you to reach out and give them the opportunity to show how much they care. Foundation staff will help you set up your own web page on the OI Foundation web site to send invitations via e-mail.
The Bone China Tea was founded in 1993 by Patricia Kipperman.
