The OI Foundation is pleased to announce the appointment of two new Board of Directors members: Emily Voorde and Scott Walls. Learn more about the new members below.

Emily Voorde
Hello to all — both those I’ve met and those I haven’t. My name is Emily Voorde and I am the Founder and CEO of INTO Strategies, a firm bringing people with disabilities into moments, movements, and campaigns. I was born and raised in South Bend, Indiana. My Type III/IV OI was diagnosed in utero and my parents, new to all-things OI, were plugged into the Foundation shortly thereafter. Prior to launching my consultancy, I spent time as a classroom teacher, worked in Democratic politics, served in the Biden Administration’s White House, and had the privilege of serving as Vice Chair of the National Council on Disability. As a member of the OI Foundation Board of Directors, I hope to find ways to engage young adults with OI and to reach “corners of the community” that don’t presently feel a connection to the Foundation.

Scott Walls
My name is Scott Walls from Lancaster, PA. Currently, I work as the Director of Corporate Accounting at The Benecon Group in Lititz, PA. My wife, Candace, and I have a 5-year-old son (Greyson) with Type 3 Osteogenesis Imperfecta whose is also Trach vented. Greyson was born in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic at Nemours in Wilmington, DE. My family means everything to me and we try to do as much traveling and outside adventures as we can. Our favorite time of the year is the Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire, where we are season pass holders and love to explore the Shire.
