OI Foundation Sponsored Support Groups

OIF Support Groups connect individuals and families living with OI to their local OI community. This page also offers several social media forums (not all sponsored by the OIF) where participants can ask questions, share information, and offer mutual support to others.

OI Foundation Sponsored Meetings

OI Foundation National Conference
Held every other year, the OI Foundation National Conference brings together over 600 families and individuals for three days of information sessions and social activities.

Regional Conferences
These three one-day meetings give families across the United States the opportunity to take part in educational sessions providing information on understanding, managing and living with osteogenesis imperfecta.

Research Grants from the OI Foundation

Michael Geisman Fellowship
The Michael Geisman Fellowship awards to post-doctoral trainees (that is, those with an MD, DDS, DO, or PhD) who are currently working on projects with clear relevance to OI, or who have projects that will enable them to develop expertise in OI research.

Investigator Travel Grant
The OI Foundation also has limited investigator meeting grant funds available to OI scientists wishing to travel to OI related scientific meetings in the United States and in other countries. This program is funded on a rolling basis and each request will be reviewed separately. Those receiving travel grants will be asked to provide a meeting summary to the OI Foundation to be used in various OIF publications.
