Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI) better known as “Brittle Bone disease” is a genetic disorder characterized by fragile bones that break easily. It is estimated that between 25,000 to 50,000 people are affected by OI.
The Blue Jeans for Better Bones is a community campaign to help raise awareness about OI and money to fund OI Foundation programs. Organizing a Blue Jeans for Better Bones day at your place of business, or school is easy and can be done any time of year. Participants donate a gift amount which allows them to wear blue jeans with their official Blue Jeans for Better Bones sticker.
All you need to do is encourage your organization to participate in this fun event. Select a contact person who will organize and promote the event and choose what day you want to go blue.
Pick any day you like. The great thing about this campaign is that you can tailor it to meet your specific company’s needs. Already wear blue jeans to work? Wear an awareness bracelet for the day. Put any spin you like on it as long as everyone has fun.
Just let us know what date will work best for you. Stickers and other promotional materials are provided by the OI Foundation. As an added option, we will create a website to collect donations making participation even easier!
Add some fun to your work week and contribute to an important cause.
