With your support, OI research is moving forward! In fact, during the coming fiscal year, the OI Foundation’s investment in research activities will be approximately $1 million!
When you make a gift to OI research, you are helping us to:
n Fund several $50,000 and $60,000 seed grants and research fellowships each year for OI-related research studies across the country
n Support annual scientific meetings that bring the top researchers and clinicians in the country together to share information and solve problems.
n Develop the OI Linked Clinical Research Centers.
o The first three locations in Houston, Baltimore, and Portland have been selected for funding. These centers will be models for excellent care for people with all types of OI and provide training to doctors, nurses and physical therapists.
o The goal is that children and adults with OI, no matter where they live, will be able to get the same kind of quality care that you and I take for granted. |
