Blue Jeans for Better Bones

Team Awesomazing Kristen

Help me to help others!

Thanks for joining Team Awesomazing Kristen! I plan to participate in the OI Foundation's Blue Jeans for Better Bones Campagin scheduled for May 6, 2016 and I need your support!

50,000 people in the United States are affected by osteogenesis imperfecta (OI), a rare genetic disease that makes bones fragile and easily broken. A person living with OI may experience hundreds of painful fractures over a lifetime. Infants with OI are often born with multiple broken bones. In severe cases of OI, a cough can break an adult’s rib. Each person with OI is unique, with different fracture rates, a varied range of related health issues and his or her own path through life. Yet there is one thing every person living with OI has in common… an Unbreakable Spirit!

Please help us to provide answers to families, fund research, and maintain a network of support groups for families dealing with the daily realities of OI by making a gift and even joining us for this fun event.

Follow these steps to join Team Awesomazing Kristen during OI Awareness Week April 30-May 7, 2016!

Step 1- Make a sign with the hashtags #UnbreakableSpirit #SHAREforAWARENESS and #TeamAwesomazingKristen

Step 2 - Take a picture with the sign and WEARING BLUE JEANS; then post on social media with the hashtags

Step 3 - Make a donation to the OI Foundation

Then please share Step 1-3 with your family, friends, and co-workers! AND DON'T FORGET TO WEAR YOUR JEANS AGAIN ON FRIDAY MAY 6!!  You can order Unbreakable Spirit bracelets and Blue Jeans for Better Bones stickers to wear on May 6 from OI Foundation Online Store.

You can improve lives! To support the important work of the OI Foundation, simply click on the "Donate Now" link on this page.

If you prefer to mail in your donation: Make all checks payable to the OI Foundation. Just let me (Kristen) know you are sending a gift so I can include it in my total raised! The Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation, Inc., has a 501(c)(3) classification from the Internal Revenue Service and all gifts are tax deductable. Check with your employer to see if they provide charitble gift matching.

I am asking that you make a donation equal to the number of years you have known someone with OI. For example, if you've known me 10 years, please make a $10 donation. However, ANY AND ALL donation amounts are appreciated so do not feel pressured to give too much or locked in to giving too little. Please spread the word and help us generate a turnout that will make a difference!

I truly appreciate your time, consideration and generosity! YOU ARE ALL AWESOMAZING AND I LOVE YOU!!
