Help me to help others!
I plan to participate in the OI Walk and Wheel in memory of Rosemarie Kasper on July 12 at the OIF Conference in Baltimore, MD.
About 50,000 people in the United States, like Rosemarie, are affected by osteogenesis imperfecta (OI), a rare genetic condition that makes bones fragile and easily broken. A person living with OI may experience hundreds of painful fractures over a lifetime. Infants with OI are often born with multiple broken bones. In severe cases of OI, a cough can break an adult’s rib. Each person with OI is unique, with different fracture rates, a varied range of related health issues, hearing loss and his or her own path through life. Yet there is one thing every person living with OI has in common… an Unbreakable Spirit!
This year the funds The Jersey Tomatoes raise are going to the Kasper-Kendall Conference Scholarship fund. These scholarships are intended for people who require financial assistance to attend the National Conference. Scholarships cover conference registration and hotel room (3 nights) for 1-4 people per group. Rosemarie loved going to the OI Conferences. Help OI adults and families attend conferences by making a gift and even joining us for this fun event.
You can improve lives! To support The Kasper-Kendall Scholarship Fund, simply click on the "Make a gift!" link under the thermometer on this page.
If you prefer to mail in your donation: Make all checks payable to the OI Foundation. Then, please mail your check directly to me as the event participant so that I can turn it in at the walk on July 12th.
Please give as much as you can! Will you also spread the word and help us generate a turnout for this walk-n-wheel event that will make a difference?
I truly appreciate your time, consideration and generosity!
