Please consider helping me to help others!
This year, I will be participating in the OI Foundation's National Unbreakable Spirit Walk N Wheel Fundraiser scheduled for Thursday, July 12th, 2018, in Baltimore, MD, and I need your support!
I was diagnosed with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, Type 1, at the age of 12 months. Further testing revealed that I had fractured both ulnas and a femur. Thankfully, the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Foundation was there to answer our many questions and help guide us along this special journey.
From 20,000 to 50,000 people in the United States are affected by Osteogenesis Imperfecta (OI), a rare genetic disease that makes bones fragile and easily broken. A person living with OI may experience a few to hundreds of painful fractures over a lifetime. Infants with OI are often born with multiple broken bones. In severe cases of OI, a cough can break an adult’s rib. Each person with OI is unique with different fracture rates, a varied range of related health issues, etc. Yet there is one thing every person living with OI has in common… an Unbreakable Spirit®!
Please consider donating in order to help provide answers to families, fund research, and maintain a network of support groups for families dealing with the daily realities of OI. You can help improve lives! To support the important work of the OI Foundation, simply click on the Donate Now button at the top of this page. If you prefer to mail in your donation, please make your check payable to the OI Foundation, and mail it directly to me as the event participant, so that I can turn it in at the fundraiser.
I sincerely appreciate your time, consideration and generosity!
Thank You so very much!
